Samantabhadra Bodhisattva
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, also knowns as “PuXian”, is one of the Four Great Bodhisattvas in Buddhism. He symbolizes the virtues of principle and practice, and is paired with Manjushri Bodhisattva, who symbolizes the virtues of wisdom and correctness. They serve as the left and right attendants of Shakyamuni Buddha.
The origins of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva can be traced back to ancient mythological times. Originally, Samantabhadra was a practitioner named Shanhuai. From a young age, he was compassionate and full of love for all beings. He would often wander alone in nature, sensing the rhythm of life.
As Samantabhadra Bodhisattva matured, he bore witness to the immense suffering of sentient beings—sickness, poverty, and war among them. Moved by compassion, he made a solemn vow: to discover a means to alleviate the pain and suffering of the world.

At the heart of this realm, a celestial being clad in white gazed upon him with a benevolent smile. The immortal spoke, "Your heart is filled with compassion, and your cultivation is diligent. You have already developed the potential to become a Bodhisattva.”
